iam on a pretty good diet now and i do cardio 4 times a week and it still is off the charts don't know whats left besides meds
What's off the charts? what are your numbers, triglycerides? What's your diet like, how many carbs are you eating per day? Any AAS cycling or are you natural? What's your cardio consist of, you need to be doing MHR training upwards of 90-95% MHR for at least 20 minutes straight at that HR. This will increase HDL levels dramatically.
A couple of things it could be, 1 You are genetically prone to high cholesterol levels. 2 you are eating too many carbs. 3 You are on AAS which certain people are more prone to the effects of.
I have a genetic predispostion to high cholesterol levels, I went on a CKD diet and within 2 months I had normal "ish" levels. Still high but acceptable, my tri's went down to 55 from a high or 390. Carbs are killers on tri and cholesterol levels. Also you need to remember that high cholesterol levels aren't the best predictor of heart disease despite what the "medical establishment" ie.. pharmaceutical companies want you to believe. If fact there are many studies showing people with high cholesterol levels that live longer than people with low levels. It's your triglyceride levels that are a better predictor along with a few other factors. You can have a total cholesterol level of 350 but if your HDL levels are 100 you're fine. HDL levels are very important, the higher the better.
Try taking niacin along with red rice yeast both are 100% scientifically proven to raise HDL and lower LDL levels respectively. This is big business to the pharma companies, I really got interested in this when my doc told me I was going to die. My father died at 44 from an MI. I have learned alot about cholesterol and the lies that the pharma companies feed us and the info they don't let you know.
As far as HGH I don't know it's effect on cholesterol levels, sorry. But I'd be more worried about my general health before thinking about any hormones.
