Is it easy to get gh prescription like it is to get on trt? 30 years old male. Just for anti aging and cosmetic purposes. Costs aren't the big issue

Hell no it's not easy, or most of us would have one! Also, if you're lucky enough to get a script, you'll need even more luck getting insurance to pay for it.
Aids patients and people with certain muscle wasting diseases get scripts and insurance coverage.

That is my guess too. Most people will probably have to pay out of pocket for it all. It would be very very expensive. Why just about everyone buys black market stuff.

Your GH levels would also have to test out low in the lab too.

Doc told me he'd write it..but it would cost me 2800/month. This was several years ago. Not worth it to me. I was 48 at the time.

About what I figured. Too much unless you have money to burn. What dose was that too? Something like 2 IU/day?

Yes - obtaining a script is easy. There are some anti-aging clinics that will write almost anyone a script for HGH. The problem is you're paying in the $25/IU range.

I'm a similar age to you, and have seen benefits using 2iu/ED while dieting.

Depends on the Doc. I dont see why id Blood test supports it. That being said at a price of $20+ an IU you're better off sourcing it elsewhere. Pharma grade can be found from $6.50 to $10 an IU.

A woman who works with my wife has a son who was not growing. He was around 8 or 10YO at the time and they put him on GH and insurance paid for it all. He is now a college kid at 6'2" (parents are much shorter).

It's almost impossible to get insurance to cover it because if you did have GHD (growth hormone deficiency) you would have had it since you were a child in almost all cases unless there is some trama.

Idiopathic GHD in adults is very rare, and stringent criteria are necessary to make this diagnosis. Because in the absence of suggestive clinical circumstances there is a significant false-positive error rate in the response to a single GH stimulation test, we suggest the use of two tests before making this diagnosis. The presence of a low IGF-I also increases the likelihood that this diagnosis is correct

Basically, they know people try to false-positive the stimulation test...

Idiopathic GHD in adults is rare, but I hate it when docs use that very phrase to discount the real possibility that you have it. "Oh, it's very rare so it's unlikely you have it." And then they won't do the test. There are quite a few cases where GHD can occur in adults, one being that the pituitary starts to fail or act erratically due to damage caused by hemochromatosis. I happen to fall into that category. I have had the IGF-1 tests, and they do indeed show that I'm low. The doc would NOT give me a script despite the test results literally because of my appearance. I'm not even half as big as many of the guys here, and yet he came to the conclusion that I "only wanted it for bodybuilding." No doc, I need it because I have a real need for it and would like some quality of life. Damn doctors.
