High resting pulse

So this is weird. I went a few days ago to the bloodbank to donate and got denyed b/c my resting pulse was 108. They made wait 10min and checked again and it was 101. Anything over 100 you cant dontate. My hemo was 17. I made sure to stay really hydrated, took some asprin and a tablespoon of glycerol mono sterate. I had a rockstar like 2hrs before but that shouldnt have effected me. In the past I gave blood on clen and my pulse has never been a prob. So i go back today which is 2days later and it was 98 and get this, my hemo was 15.5. Nothing really changed. Kinda weird. Anyway is that too high of a pulse? I am 270lbs right now, maybe the bigger you get the higher your pulse gets?

Are you doing any cardio? Its been my experience that when my weight starts getting up there in high 200s, odds are I am not doing much in the way of running or other cardio. Which means I am out of shape cardio/respiratory wise, and my resting heart rate will reflect that.

Yep its the hemoglobin. And you multiply the # by 3 to get your hematocrit. Weird that in 2 days I went from 17 to 15.5 and didnt do anything diff. I bet the machine is off.
 
I'm interested in this question as well, as I have always had a high resting pulse, between 80-100. I do HIIT cardio 4 times a week and spar taekwondo, so i do the cardio my heart rate just won't seem to go down.....

Same here: goes between 80 and 100. When it gets over 90, I take a few days off, it means I've overtrained or underslept. When I sleep poorly or not long enough, it skyrockets.

MrCyp: Id point to that Rockstar and cardio. I took a few days off coffee and traning and it got down to mid 70's

I've been using different supps one at a time to see what happens. Celery juice and coQ10 are supposed to help, so we'll see.

And yes, it's genetic too. My dad is the same.

Why are kids so much more motivate with these things?

I just finished reading this site talking about a young kid who loat a ton of weight, and I am amazed.

I don't know if it's still up but **broken link removed** was interesting.

Is that cookie thing they talk about true?
 
my pulse rate is always better when i do regular cardio 3-4 times per week.

I'm on a bèta blocker for tachycardia. Always had the high resting heart rate, even during my short stint as an army commando during which I was in top cardiovascular shape. More than likely it's genetic and all the cardio in the world won't help for shit so don't bother :)

-Take your resting heart rate and BP upon awakening.

-Rockstar contains a ton of caffeine

-Aspirin should never be taken before blood donation-thinning the blood is the last thing you want to do-if your blood clotting factors are off -they will not let you donate again.

-What are you on exactly-be honest.

-are a bloated sack of watery retentor "270" eating junk food-the classic high dosed juicer who is a bulkinator?

-water retention and anabolic steroids as well increase resting heart rate as even testosterone increases metabolism.

-100 HR is about 30 beats a minute too high.

-also overtraining can lead to a higher resting heart rate.

-The best way to accurately measure it is to log it each day in the morning-same with BP as it takes an average of readings to get an accurate fix on both.
 
I would bet you are taking tren. Tren is very well know for increasing one RHR.

I would also say you are too heavy at 270, not knowing you personally but I would assume if youre out of breath just walking around you may need to drop a little bodyweight

this is the highest cycle i've done. my 270 isnt very clean but not fast food everyday 270. I am holding a boatload of water though. I havent used tren for like 3years. I have a feeling its the tren. Im gonna start adding some cardio and cleaning things up. I wanted to try and hit 280 but just walking around being outta breath is just gross.

this is the highest cycle i've done. my 270 isnt very clean but not fast food everyday 270. I am holding a boatload of water though. I havent used tren for like 3years. I have a feeling its the tren. Im gonna start adding some cardio and cleaning things up. I wanted to try and hit 280 but just walking around being outta breath is just gross.

Normal adult resting hear rate is 60-100 BPM. I know thats a big range but there are so many things that can get it up there including stress/anxiety. I think if you just started hitting cardio it would come down.
 
Ive actually really been under a lot of stress the past week as well. Well, at least im still in range, sure its the high end but its not crazy. I'll add some cardio and clean up the diet a bit

That is not good. I would get it checked. My friend had that happen. He ended up having to have a nerve burned in his heart to slow it down. Go see a doctor, that is in no way normal.

but the range is 60-100 and i was 98. That was also walking from my car straight to the bloodbank and getting checked with no rest.

It still not a healty resting heart rate. I used be in nursing in another life time before real estate. I would still get it checked out. Better safe then sorry. You are carrying alot of weight whether it be muscle or fat, so thats a lot of work for your heart to do.

MY guess is that your heart is under some strain now carrying that much water. When blood volume is that high you heart has to work harder. What was your blood pressure? I dont remember you posting that.
One of the symptoms of cardiomyopathy is a high resting heart rate.

Exactly.

Note, primo is often faked with npp or deca. Tren and deca together can cause a considerable rise in prolactin, actually, tren alone can. Rapid rise in prolactin has been shown to cause heart failure, and so has high BP and resting PR.

Also, GH and AAS together have been shown to considerably increase the mass of the heart, which can also lead to heart failure. You are exhibiting all the signs I was having. Which turned out to be CHF. Not trying to scare you, as you may be fine. But it is definitely you want to get checked out for. EKG at minimum should be checked, and echo cardiogram would definitely be a good thing to have.
