What are the signs that you may have hit a blood vessel while injecting?
Will you know it right away? Or will it take a while? Minutes? Hours?
I am just curious.
Is it possible to (even after aspirating) hit a vein by accident?
Can you do this by moving the needle too much while injecting?

What should one do if they do hit a vein?
Should one call and ambulance? Or drive to the hospital? Or just sit it out?

Yes, you can hit a vein even after aspirating. You shouldn't be moving around too much while injecting, but that can cause you to hit a vein or when removing the syringe. I would say to just sit it out, should get a nice bruise from nicking a vein. As long as you aspirate before injecting, to insure that you are not injecting directly into a vein then you should have no severe problems. Nicking a vein is more painful then anything else, I am by no means an expert on this subject (as I have never hit a vein,,,knock on wood), maybe someone else can elabirate more on this........
