I didnt want my insurance to cover it. To me it was more important to choose the proper surgeon. The last thing you want is just any surgeon removing your gyno. I have friends with assymetrical pecs, My brother was friggin ripped back in the day and now he is embarassed to take his shirt off due to a poor gyno reversal procedure.

I was told you must repeatedly go to the physician for years complaining about horrible pain. Even then, your not going to get your choice or surgeons, and you def wont get a plastic surgeon to cover it.. I would think.

Have cancer at least once in your life. You'll then be labeled as high-risk for cancer, and insurance will pay for prompt removal.

At least that's what worked for me.

I had surgery 1 week ago and just found out my Insurance (CIGNA) will cover at least part of it. I just had the Plastic Surgeon send a letter stating that it was painful and met their coverage requirements (size, not aas induced, present for several years, etc).

I have fantastic insurance at the moment (my primary on the plan receives awesome work benefits), so I wouldn't expect it with most plans.

Yep, it's not "Gyno", you have a painful bilateral mass...of unknown origin. And cancer in the family (God forbid, but it's so common these days, it's seems to be in lots of people's families)

Ask them to biopsy it.

A friend of mine works for Brinks. He is transporting cash from/to banks and his job requires him to wear a bulletproof vest. He complained to his insurance that it hurts to wear a vest and they covered everything 100%

here is another way,

if it effects your emotional state then they will cover it... which means you need to go to a shrink and pretty much say how its really effecting me, its traumatizing, embarrassing, it hurts youso much to see it, ect so that it effects who you are... the they will cover it. but thats a long process from what my doctor said.
