how many no longer train their abs. i cut mine to 2 a wk but i,m thinking once might be enough. its the one area on my body that grows with no restraint.

yeah if anything abs should be trained to not get weaker than the spinal erectors
this btw is what really causes the so called "gh guts" which in fact is merely a posture problem from lower back muscle being too strong in relation to the abdominals.
Im saying this because im currently battling this problem myself, from years of doing heavy deadlifts and rows and totally neglecting my abs.
that's my point almost like a beer gut large at the top sloping in towards the bottom.they day i train them then eating on top of it forget it.I stopped training them over two years ago. I train them a few weeks before contest, and that's it. At contest, it's one of my best muscle groups.
But I did train them hard for about three years before I stopped. I simply stopped because they were getting to big. (Makes me look like my gut is huge, during off season weight) But I can still see all the lines.
