how would this job fit in with bodybuilding?

Kinda a silly question.

I have found a job working as a forklift driver. And im trying to figure out if it would have negative affects on body comp (compared to say a desk job).

The issues im thinking...

1. I will be doing some heavy lifting, shoveling (will affect recovery).

2. During the winter, i might be outside in the cold for a good portion of the day (sick?? immune system), and during the summer obviousley it will be hot (guessing ill be fine as long as im staying hydrated, but i find it hard to believe i could put on quality mass being in the heat all day).

Anyone had a job similar, some physical work, and out in the heat/cold? Were you able to gain during this time the same as you were when you were doing a non physical job?

I know I know the job is more important than how it will affect bodybuilding (dont need a lecture), just trying to figure how it would fit in with my lifestyle/hobby from anyone who has experience.

I have never really had a physical or outdoor job before.

Thanks.

U learn to man up, pack ur lunch and put er head down. Im a concrete finisher, which involves long hours/heavy physical work, in doors and outside up to around -20. (they heat the concrete from under the forms). U learn to dress in layers and i find i have to eat more cause of the cals i burn just movin all shift. the bonus is i dont do cardio in off season and stay fairly sharp. I did though have to quit my job about 2 months before i competed cause i was still to fat. lol. I honestly think it gives a body a more of a "complete" bodybuilder look in guys that dont just lift in the gym, but lift to live.

I worked at a feed store that all I did was lift
50 lb sacks of feed all day. Hot or cold, it didn't matter. I made great gains while I had this job. In the year I worked there I gained over 20 lbs. I've seen some pretty fat forklift drivers, they don't seem to have any problems getting the calories in...
