HRT / Thyroid Question

I want to get my test levels and thyroid checked. I really think something is out of whack with one of them.

I have insurance that does not require me to get a referral. I can go straight to an Endocrinologist. Do you think I should do this or go to my family doc first?

Go to the family doc first, give them the symptoms you have that make you think those are low tell them you think they are low, and ask them to do the blood tests.

Go to ur usual doc and just tell him you feel exhausted right now and can't explain yourself why you tend to put on weight so easily lately... maybe add that the same thing happened to a few people in your family over the years, and blood tests eventually reavealed that they had some hormonal imbalances. Maybe it's a genetic thing?

Got it. This is true. My mother had her thyroid removed.

if you dont need a referal from your doc-go straight to endo doc. save yourself some time,and aggrivation,,,,i went straight to endo doc and did bloodwork and had a script for test e and andro-gel in a week!
