HRT what if you have to quit?

I have a doctor who seems willing to prescribe HRT, however, I'm a bit worried. What if I have to quit taking it after an extended period of time? I have insurance now, unfortunately, I have a crappy job and don't really like the area I'm living. Maybe I'll never be able to change, but at least I have hope. I'm worried if I go on HRT, my hope will evaporate. What happens if I loose insurance and can't afford to buy the stuff with my own cash? I'm sure for a lot of you, this seems crazy, but for me, it is a concern....

i am not telling you to do anything illegal but test is extremely cheap, as well as everything you need to administer it. so no worries. last resort get your own.

A very real concern for me, as I know I fucked my body up. No advice here just want to let you know your not in it alone.

If worse came to worse, you could pay it all out of pocket. Test and syringes really dont cost all that much. im on HRT and I dont think the total cost of the drug is that high, especially since a real HRT dose is about 100 mg/wk. It wouldnt break the bank, but of course if youre unemployed and broke then any little thing is going to be tough. Id go on it and not worry too much. Like someone else said, if worse came to worse you could get the test on your own.

If you are in the states go to Walgreens,They have a prescription plan in which you pay $20.00 for a year. Generic Test cyp with the plan is $17.00 a month.My insurance wouldnt pay for injects for some reason only the gel.So I use the plan myself.BD Syringes are 60 cents each at walgreens also.
