Hypoglycemia

So whenever I try to lean down and go low carb...if I drink an extremely high caffeinated pre-workout or energy drink like a Speed Stack...shortly their after I get hypoglycemic and need to hit the carbs fast. In contrast, if I just stick with coffee then no hypoglycemia.

Can someone explain this to me in bro science terms?

I'm not sure exactly if this is what is happening to you but I eat low carbs and having done this way of eating for decades and I can tell you most people confuse hypoglycemia with a lack of electrolytes.

I have sodium pre-workout and I feel amazing...a lot of my friends who start a low-carb diet if their electrolytes or better yet they're sodium is low they feel like they have low blood sugar but has nothing to do with low blood sugar.

Have you checked your blood sugar to see if your truly hypo or are you guessing?

I know I'm not diabetic...and I haven't been to Dr to check if I'm hypoglycemic, but it happens on low carb and high caffeine. I get dizzy, light headed and feel horrible. The same feeling as when on prami and it drops your blood sugars. What resolves it for me is simple sugars. Glucose tabs, fruit, gatorade etc.

If I have low carb and no high caffeine beverages then I'm fine....it's only with low carb in conjunction with high caffeine from preworkouts, fat burner etc..

this with low carb, no sugar diet is dangerous.
its the body temp raise...creates the surge of insulin..

Imgomthrough th same thing sometimes.. I sed to,eat breakfast then head off to work.. About two,hours later I would get a break.. Sometimes I would drink a red bull..,about twenty minutes later Id break out into a sweat and get very shaky..,after,about three or four times I was done with that crap..

Obviously,,,ditch the Speed Stack drink. I'm not sure of its ingredients but I know ephedrine/ephedra would make me go hypo while dieting. Hypo is NO FUN at all,,downright scary at times.
