Dave Palumbo just put this up 2 hours ago, Banks' wife made the announcement on Facebook. The cause was carcinoid cancer. Banks had long claimed to be drug free and competed in natural organizations and the IFBB in both open bodybuilding and classic.

 
Read that a little earlier on IG. I think he was 51.
