Is it alright if I include this running schedule with my weightlifting routine?

If I want to run 3 days a week, does it matter what those 3 days are?

My weightlifting routine consist of 4 days a week (mon,tues,thurs,fri). I would like to include three days a week of running on the treadmill. However I don't want to do cardio on the days I lift so therefore I would like to do it on the days I don't lift (weds,sat,sun).

This might sound confusing so please bare with me...usually when people do 3 days a week of cardio they do either (mon,weds,fri) or (tues,thurs,sat). But I'm doing (weds,sat,sun). So I'm running one day, than I'm not running again for 3 days and than at that time I will be doing 2 days in a row. Than I won't be running again for another 3 days. Is this ok though?

Does it matter what 3 days you run as long as it's in a 7 day period? I'm not running for fat loss, I'm looking to increase my stamina and get my lungs back. Will me running (weds,sat,sun) be just as effective for increasing stamina as if I were running (mon,weds,fri) or (tues,thurs,sat)?

So basically I will be lifting (mon,tues,thurs,fri) and I will be running on the treadmill (weds,sat,sun). Will I be alright doing it this way?

Please help me guys. I really need to start running and I want to know if I will be able to do it this way (running weds,sat,sun) and get good results (increased stamina over the next few months).

Don't worry too much, any time you can run when not a gym day should be fine, just remember to keep protein intake up.
 
I trained for few years on monday, wedn and friday, and changed for tues, thurs and sat. No diference whatsoever although it is good to have a bit of routine change.

Yeah, but you were taking atleast a day off between sessions. I plan on running Weds, Sat, Sun. Sat and Sun are back to back and than I won't be running again until 3 days later. And than after that I won't be running for another 3 days.

Can I make good improvements in my stamina and endurance by running on the treadmill on Weds,Sat,Sun for 20 minutes at a fast pace (not including 5 min of warm up and 5 min of cool down which would total 30 minutes) or would I be wasting my time?

Keep in mind I will also be lifting Mon,Tues,Thurs,Fri.

What do you guys think?

20 minutes of intense aerobic 3xweek will give you a big stamina improvement.
