Is there a "window of growth" post-show?

There are some theories out there that state there is a window of opportunity for massive lbm gains post-show and that this should be taken advantage of with a strong cycle and high calories. For the guys that compete, do you find this to be true? Are your best gains right after a show? Or is this just muscle memory and muscle glycogen filling up?

after my 1st show I blew up 34 bs in less than a week. I remember, after the show, I ordered pizzeria uno's chcago cassic and falling a sleep whie eating. next morning I was up 20lbs, face, ankle, feet all swollen. been on suspension 100mg eod with 450mg eq for 6 weeks post show, binging on junks and ice cream. felt terribe but think I grew to new size from that.
