Jump roping for cardio

Hey fellas,

Just wanted to know what you guys thought about doing jump roping for cardio. I just got into it and I love it cuz it doesn't get monotonous for me. Also, for those who do it, what kind of routine do you run through.

I like it for cardio as well, but I dont do it too much becuase I am hesitant, because i feel like its high intensity, so I try not to overdo it. What do you other guys think of jump rope? More of a high intensity, or low to moderate intensity?
 
excellent!

as far as heart rate goes, its easily one of the best things you can do besides all out sprints...but much safer for big guys like we have here. do some tibialis anterior (the muscle on the front of your shins) if you start getting shin splints. my favorite is to sit on a bench with only me feet off the end and put a 15-30lb dumbell between my feet and do curls with it.
