Just did first injection ever and I have Questions!

Just did my first ever. 300Test e into the quad with 1.0 23g. It didn't hurt at all, didn't even feel like a pinch, no sting and no blood when I pulled out. So, that would be my first question. Is that normal?

Second, it seemed difficult to get the test from the vial into the needle. I preloaded air and shot that into the vial, but when I pulled back on the plunger I'd say it took a good 20 seconds to fill up a ml. I thought it would be almost instant. Is that normal?

Third, there seemed to be a lot of little tiny air bubbles in the syringe. I flicked and flicked but there were an aweful lot of them. Do you just keep flicking all day?

Sorry that I did not post this into the beginner forum, but I'm looking for feedback from people with a lot of experience! Thank any of you in andvance for helpful feedback!

Everything you posted is normal. The reason it took so long to withdraw out of the vial is because you are using a 23g needle. If you used an 18 or a 20 it would be faster. Did you aspire it before you injected once you got it in the muscle? Also did you draw and inject with the same needle?

Thanks for the quick response. I did aspire and just some more bubbles came out. I used the same needle. It stung for a second because I let go of the syringe to get a better grip and it went semi-sideways, but that went away as soon as I straightened back out. I was so nervous, but it went as good as I could imagined, so made me feel like I messed up!

bro using the same needle is a big no no, always switchem

Judging by your name, I imagine your female. Any reason why you are taking Test?

Sorry about that, no I am a male. 31 years old. I use this name for privacy reasons at work, but I no longer work where I did when I made the name, so it doesn't matter.

LOL, that clears up things!

Yeah you need to switch needles. Draw with one and inject with a different one.

Ok. I've read that some people do that when researching. I thought it was more for having a sharp needle as opposed to sanitary reasons. If so, would I be ok just keeping the same needle since it went in so easily? My syringes came with the needle attached, so I don't have other needles. I can get them if I have to, but just curious as to the reason behind switching. Thanks again everyone!

Get some 18 to draw the oil, then switch it to a new 23g to inject. The 18 will allow you to draw much faster. ALWAYS use new needles, its better to be safe than sorry, and there cheap enough.

It is for having a sharp needle and a sterile one. The tip of the needle dulls after first penetration through the rubber stopper.. well take a look at this pic, you'll get the idea and you'll think twice about using the same needle lol

drs seem to use the same one but dont get into that custom..they are cheap and a dr isnt worrying about scar tissue build up...look at the pics again and answer which one will give you more scar tissue over time?! for the time being, take a tip from another pin you have until you get some tips, also you may wanna only go down to 20g to draw...depending on the bottle you have it may ruin the stopped with the fat pins

Replace the needle if you want but no big deal if you dont. I never have in 30 years unless I was mixing a couple compounds.

When was the last time you were at the Dr.'s and they drew with one pin and stuck you with another?

see pics as to why u should, remember juice takes repeated poking into same spots and scar tissue buildup over long term use is a concern if not kept under control early on

Congrats on losing your virginity... u big slut :)

Like others said, its wise to switch pins. You dont have to, but it makes life easier. 23g or 25g for yourself and an 18g or 20g for the bottle.

sounds normal to me

I use to switch needles after I drew but I haven't noticed the difference between using the same needle to draw and inject vs. a different needle. Personally I always use 25gauge needles. Think about it, a 25 gauge needle used twice (i.e. draw from vial and injected with) is still sharper than a 23 gauge needle used only once. 23gauge for quads is imo too big, but do what you want. If you're worried about scar tissue then why the hell would you be using anything larger than 25 gauge. The only down side from drawing with a 25gauge is that it takes quite a bit longer.

I think your logic is flawed. A 23g is bigger than a 25g but if the 23 is new and the 25 was used to draw the 23 will be way sharper. I know I can feel a difference if the needle isn't perfectly sharp. I always use a second needle to pin with. If I hit a nerve or something and pull out I replace the needle again. They are so cheap I'd rather use more than have any extra pain or scar tissue.

OP your injection was completely normal. But you don't have to worry about flicking it to get the air out. Some guys even put a little air in intentionally to use to push out the last of the oil so they don't waste any. Its a IM shot not IV, a little air won't hurt you at all.

This is a great pic of blunting needles. This is exactly why you switch after drawing up. Like cutting steak with a butter knife!!! Good job!!

Inject Air First...

NOT into the muscle, :), BUT- inject the volume of air that would be the volume of oil you plan to withdraw into vial first, this will help also.

Even if you use an 18 or 20 to draw, if you keep drawing without injecting air first, you will create a vacuum in the vial and the last few cc's might be a bit of a hassle to get out, i.e., you draw up one mL, but as you are pulling the needle out some might get sucked back into the vial.
