LBA question (sure this has been asked before but...)

My search skills didn't uncover it.

Question - If I am taking 50 grams whey post workout, does that mean I need to take the same amount of LBAs as well?

Does 50 grams of protein from LBAs equal 50 grams of protein from whey isolate?

(Cause that is a lot of LBAs to be chugging down)

I do not know the answer. I know that you need different protein sources.......is a gram of egg equal to a gram of chicken? To a gram of soy? To a gram of beef?
 
I dont know the BV of LBA's but I imagine its fairly good.

Even then, Whey's BV is one of the best around 98-99, so if you dont take in 50g of LBA's PWO, you wouldnt be taking in as much protein daily as you did with Whey.

20g of LBA's does not equal 50g Whey.

Whey and whole eggs have the highest of BV's to my knowledge. And no, I'm not buying into the whole supplement hype that Whey has a BV of 140, or some garbage like that.

If you want my advice on PWO? I'd take in either milk protein (whey/casein) or BCAA's + CM and Beta-alanine. Add that to some oats and omega-3 and your set.

I have used LBA's PWO and used around 30-35g.

If whey, casein or any milk based protein upset your stomach, LBA's are a good alternative IMHO.
 
I would use the LBA's pre-workout as the glycerin will give a very good pump, help keep you hydrated and the LBA's keep some aminos in you. I take them throughout the day and usually have some post workout after my meal as a dessert. Just give them a shot whenever.

Just search for articles on L.B.A.s, read them and then determine your answer.
