How do you do it? Legs are my lagging area and I'm killing them every week trying to make em grow. I personally am somewhat alternating styles of training between HIT Dorian Yates style workouts and MountainDog type workouts that I did while running his program. I'm also training hamstrings twice a week, once with quads and another time with back.

leg extensions 3 progressively heavier sets
5x5 (wave) back squats (1 heavy work set)
1x20 back squats (widowmaker)
3 set progressively heavier leg curls

Scratch the leg ext. They just take away from recovery in my opinion. SLDL are a much better movement than leg curls and you can handle more wgt. More wgt=more muscle.

If the squat is a good movement for you, then do IT! and do it often. Nothing else makes my quads grow better. Keep sessions short, and hit them as much as your recovery allows. Warm-up and get to work. Work different ranges of motion, go heavy, never lock out, keep constant tension on the muscle, slow negative and explode on the way up, just pound em'... I like finishing w/ adductors/abductor machines.

I have try his leg workout, it's brutal! Burn the fuck out of my legs! Couldnt go down the stairs.

I too have lagging legs but I have been training in this style since reading his leg training article. Brutal! I definitely feel like it's helping bring my legs up.

My legs were lagging also. I got with wonzey here and he got me to start going 20 rep squats and keep increasing in weight until I hit a 8 rep failure. This helped me out a lot but is NO FUN..lol.

But JM has some of the most intense and effective workout. Stick with what he tells you bud.

Day 1-
Squats 5x5 (btw, learn to squat RIGHT, most people's squats are an abomination)
GHR- 3 sets to failure
Front Squats- 3x10
Leg Press- 1-2 warmups then 20 rep rest pause set

Day 2-
Squats 20 rep widowmaker
Then light leg extensions/curls, you should feel like death after the widowmaker

This is exactly what I did to get my legs to 30 inches.

how do you do SLDLs after doing 1x5 max set and a widowmaker!?!? My lower back can barely handle BB rowing 2 days later after those two sets!!!
