Let's talk.. Insulin Sensitivity !!

Can you go into more detail. Looks like you don't need a Rx for this.
Can you tell your more insulin sensitive? How fas did this Berberine hcl take to work and how much you take.

What are the sides if any?

Can you take Berberine hcl while on slin to keep sensitive?

No prob bud
I use 500mgs 3-4xs a day I try to take it 15 mins or so b4 a meal
I monitor my morning fasted blood sugar about once or twice a week
When it creeps into 90s I take a break from the slin
During this break I train with a carb less intra wrkout drink and bang out about 20 mins of cardio PWO @ 130 bpm or so
Usually takes a week or two and my AM glucose levels are back into70s
I continue the berberine when using slin and have found I need less slin overall so yes u can use it while running slin too
I have had zero negative sides to speak of

So, I'm a type two diabetic. I've got my blood sugar under control with Metformin, Lantus, a (very) low carb diet.

Which, as it goes, I'm happy with. I like what I eat, I feel good, I make progress in the gym, and my bloodwork is actually kind of amazing.

But I would like to use less or no insulin down the road, if possible, so I'm always tinkering to see what stuff works for reducing my need for insulin.

So I bumped this to see if there was anything new and cool?

I've tried:

ALA - Works
Vandyl - Works
Chromium - No effect
Berberine - No effect
Cinnamon - No effect
Co Q 10 - No effect (on this - I still take it)

You need to bring out the big guns so today and try Intermittent Fasting... it works wonders for normal as well as diabetic people especially people looking to lower their insulin requirements.

Type two can surely come off of insulin supposing you aren't in your golden years following decades of unmanaged dm. One of my favorite professors is a phd endocrine and he has proposed that with low carb diet, exercise, and reducing negative lifestyle choices ( drugs, nicotine etc ) that the type 2 will recover and sustainably so.

Intermittent fasting is a great way to improve insulin sensitivity and promote longevity.

Melanotan II increases insulin sensitivity.
Igf1-Lr3 increases insulin sensitivity.

I do, actually, just forgot to mention it. I have meals around noon and six, so a six to eight hour eating window.

I've also experimented with a month of eating all my food in a one hour window.

IF works, but the 1 hour window didn't seem to produce notably better effects than the 8 hour window, and was way more of a pain in the ass.
 
I heard fenugreek works really well for lowering insulin sensitivity when taken with meals.
