Liver Tabs, anyone still take them?

Does anyone still take Liver Tabs? Theyre pretty old school I know, but I got hooked up with a bottle of these but im not sure if itd be worth taking 18 of these huge pills a day. Take or dispose of?
 
take em lol id never turn down a free supp. just split them up and take em between meals!
 
Old school stand by that works. I swallow a few in between meals, a few before workouts, a few during workouts, etc. You can't really go wrong because it's loaded with protein, b vitamins, iron, etc. I've heard people recommend chewing them, but that's not for me. Maybe you can stomach it however...
 
One of the first supps I started taking in the 70's. Dissecated Liver Pills, Yum!
 
I have taken them before with amino acid pills when I was bulking and I swear they helped me!
 
Im actually on the beverly ultra 40 liver pills as im dieting down since im not eating any red meat. That and mass aminos seems to have helped me maintain most of my muscle. And like the other posts, cant go wrong with aminos and b12 even if you dont notice a huge diff. Might as well use em up at least

I always notice a drop in endurance if I run out of them. Liver is one of the best foods on the planet for building muscle, I think. I always chew 'em up, mostly because the late Vince Gironda said to do this. Every few hours it's a handful of either Beverly's liver or Vince's NSP liver and a shot of EVOO.

Apparently it contains Cytochrome P-450 which is where the real magic resides with liver. It's been documented that organs and glands eaten actually nourish the same organs and glands in the human body. I notice I recover much faster from alcohol or anything else I'm doing to tax my liver when I take my liver tabs. It may be placebo, but I doubt it. There's just too much research backing this up.
 
Well so far its been positive feedback so ill give them go, theyre Bev Nut Ultra 40. I dont think I can chew them though..Thanks for the quick replys ;)

try chewing 'em, it really grows on you after awhile and they start to taste chocolaty

I was going to say that Vince Gironda was always hyping liver tabs.
I have used them in the past but not so currently. May have to give them another run for a few months to make my opinion.

40 a day....

used to take 40 a day. Supposed to supercharge the mitochondria in cells. the mitochondria are like the motor of the car. Liver in any form is a superfood. Traditional hunter cultures from all over ate the liver first to gain its strength. lots of traditional wisdom there. Try it...its free right?
 
Liver tabs are one of the most underestimated weapons in your muscle building arsenal. Beverly, Universal, Vince Gironda...any one of those are quality products.
 
I came across a few bottles of them and took them for a while... perhaps not religiously enough because I honestly didn't notice much of a difference. I like the idea of them but the expense made them something that I would take if given, but not buy for myself... I might have to start buying some actual liver tho... I think organ meat and natural cuts of meat in general have a lot more flavor and nutrients
 
at first i thought you meant liver detox like a LIV52 or IPS brand which both ive tried

i am taking this one called BLUPUREM right now with tons of herb blends

but actual liver extract, how does it taste, do you get stinky burps like with fish oil?
 
Yea, I took them in the early 80's with kelp and brewer's yeast. What a waste of money, worthless, IMO. So many good products, on the market, now a days that actually work.
 
Saying that taking 2 pounds of raw liver a day (the equivalent of 20 Beverly liver tabs) doesn't "work" is like saying eating 2 pounds of grass fed beef a day doesn't work. It is a phenomenal source of nutrients, some discovered and some yet undiscovered. I get great results from it. It especially helps when your huffing and puffing during an intense set of deadlifts or squats. can you say iron-rich blood?
