Ill post one up:

Main, with your current diet and training..how often do you throw in something different to keep from hitting a plateau?..and what would you do to get past them?

Ill post one up:

Main, with your current diet and training..how often do you throw in something different to keep from hitting a plateau?..and what would you do to get past them?

I change the reps up every week and am on a 4 week rotation. That has been continuously improving in the gym.

Dietwise....I have found protein works best for me so Ill up the protein a little bit more for a few weeks and see if that helps. Then i increase my carbs 2nd and fats 3rd....if I have to.

I missed most of it due to Christmas shopping, wish I could have been there for the beginning. But, the little time I was there it was entertaining and TP might be crossing over into the porn industry soon;)
 
Main: How is your offseason eating based on macro's...interested in carb intake? Also, how many days a week to rest from training? Sorry, I missed most of the Q&A today.

I learned that Aeliops code name is m2 in the Industry lol
Tp4u can eat 95 peices of Sushi in One setting and has been kicked out of 4 buffets :p Shelby is shooting for 14th place in his next contest.
Some funny guys in there this time :D

So, what would be some tips that you think are very important when doing this that you think some might overlook?

Right now my offseason diet is just like my precontest diet, but ive added in some extra carbs per meal and just a little bit of fats in a couple meals....no major changes.

Im training 4 days per week now. Keeping things simple.
Sun: Arms
Mon: Legs/Calves
Wed: Chest/Delts/Calves
Fri: Back/traps/Calves

Im going to be honest. Except for getting ready for 1 contest, I have actually never given carb cycling a legitimate try in the offseason. I hooked up with Justin a long time ago....but for some reason it just made things difficult in the offseason to always cycle my carbs and have things ready the following day....always changing.

I was actually looking through Justin's old program today and serioulsy contemplating giving it an honest try this time.

Do you do anything specific pre-workout to warmup for a heavy workout?..or anything to "get in the zone?"

How similar is carb cycling to the old school "low carb high carb diet" ie...
day 1 moderate carb
day 2 low carb
day 3 low carb
day 4 high carb

I am using Dorian Yates new NOX Pump product that seems to be working pretty well. Otherwise nothing out of the ordinary.

I came in late and I believe I missed Main's pancake recipe?
8 egg whites/2 whole eggs
2 packs low sugar oats
1 scoop protein
3 TBSP Pancake Mix
touch of skim milk

* blend and fry up.

I have to thank this one guy....this big pussy I know. We trained together a few times and he flat out said....what the hell are you doing? Why are you doing all the sets to failure and forced reps on every set. I figured since he was 4 inches shorter than me and outweighed me by 40 lbs maybe he was on to something.:rolleyes:

Long story short, he finally got me into the theory....stimulate the muscle, dont annhililate, and get out of the gym....eat and grow.

So we've been tinkering around with this plan for over a year now and Ive made the best gains ive made in 10yrs combined....in both strength and size.

Everytime i try to go back to volume, i get weaker and it shows in my physique quickly.
