the doctor's office called today and recommended that i go see an orthopedic. the MRI's show a lot of inflammation of the super spinatus and he wasnt sure if there was a tear there or not. i guess thats why he wants me to go see a specialist. soooo, you guys think i should continue to train like i have been or wait till i know if there is a tear or not? man this really sucks

also i'll do anything to make this shit heal faster, even if it includes going back on cycle. was thinking of maybe tryin some HGH for a month or two maybe as well.

any advice or ideas you guys have i'm open to hear em.

I have the exact same thing with a partial tear in the superspinatus tendon. My sports doc gave me a shot of cortisone and told me it was OK to be in the gym, just do whatever the pain would allow me to do. Not sure about speeding the healing process. There has been discussion about HGH and IGF on that issue. Deca is good. Bottom line, tendons are very fibrous with minimal bloodflow, so repairs do not happen fast.

Take it easy bro- I didnt and now I have surgery scheduled for the 12 of July-Was my pec tendon partial tear then total tear.

Not worth it until you get a dr to look at it-

Plus- if you can get HGH, slin and decca would be a good way to heal-

I'm sure you already know this but don't train if it hurts.

thanks for the replies and info guys. im still weighing all of my options on what im gonna do, but im definately gonna go see a specialist and at least get a shot of cortisone to get the inflammation out. taking 2 weeks off from upperbody but im still gonna train deads and squats. after the 2 weeks im gonna try and use exercises that won't mess it up anymore. you guys think rows and lats are ok or not?

For superspinatus irritation, pulling movements (for back) should be OK. Mine are pain free. Pushing (ie. chest and shoulder) movements hurt. I would talk to a good ortho doctor first to see exactly what's going on though.

the weird thing is that my rotator doesnt hurt. all shoulder horn movements and other rotator movements cause me no pain. to be honest, my trap and right where the trap connects into the shoulder is what hurts the most. thanks again guys for the replies, all the docs around here are out of town for 2 weeks so i gotta wait till then to see what they say.

i have the same thing bro. torn supraspinatus w/ impingment syndrome. need to get some bone shaved off.

i let you know what they say when i get back from the specialists :(

Pain around the trap. I tweaked my AC joint last summer and that was more or less how I felt

STUDY: T1 and T2 oblique coronal, proton-density axial as well as fast-spin-echo fat-suppressed proton-density axial, oblique coronal and oblique sagittal images were obtained.

FINDINGS: Signal alteration in the lateral aspect of the supraspinatus tendon near the attachment is seen consistent with severe tendinosis or partial tear of the intrasubstance of the tendon.
Degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular joint are seen. There is some thickening and edema at the musculotendinous junction of the supraspinatus tendon consistent with a tear in this region as
well. The subscapularis and infraspinatus tendons are intact. The biceps tendon is well positioned in the bicipital groove and the glenoid labra are within normal limits. IMPRESSION:

1. Tendinosis or partial tear laterally in the supraspinatus tendon.
2. Edema and thickening at the musculotendinous junction supraspinatus tendon suggesting tear in this region.
3. Degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular joint.

picked these up today at the hospital as well as the cd containing the film. pretty neat lookin at the inside of my shoulder although i cannot tell what anything is lol.

thanks bro, im anxious to see what they tell ya.

by the way, if it was a full tear would i still be able to bench 450+? i mean my bench dropped from over 500 but i figured if somethin was torn completely i wouldnt be able to do much over 135?
