My PW meal, good or bad ???

I know many of you are way, way ahead of me so first excuse my ignorance...

Ok with that out of the way,

I trained today at 11 Am, Right when I was done I ate steamed beef and broccolli with rice...How good or bad of a choice is that ? Thanks again....
 
Post Workout Nutrition

That's not a bad meal, but........I would suggest slamming something down immediately after your workout that your body can quickly and most efficiently make use of for the "anabolic window." A quality whey protein shake that also incorporates some quality carbs along with creatine and glutamine should do the trick.
Than about 1 - 1 1/2 hours later, eat the beef, etc. meal.

I prefer a SynthePURE shake following training instead of whole feed. I have the shake, then a meal about 1-2 hrs after training.

Did you make it or was it from a Chinese resturant? High, high sodium if so. And white rice? Bad boy. :D
 
That is a great meal but I would go with something that can be quickly absorbed right after the workout such as whey protein and some simple carbs, then have the beef, rice, etc. about an hour after that.
 
i just started this and its working pretty good...ive always been a big believer in beverly products, so my post workout is always a mass maker shake. but lately i read about amino loading...anyway, immediately after the last set of my workout...i mean like i pop up from the set and then bam...i slam a combo of liquid amino acid (peptide bonded, of course!) and some cellmass (my favorite creatine product). then about 15 mins. later im at home slamming my mass maker shake (approx. 80g protein, 100g carbs). been doing the liquid amino thing for 2 weeks and im pleased. i also use amino tabs with every meal, but the liquid is most important for immediate post-workout for purposes of absorbtion.
 
Correct me if Im wrong, but I have read where people take beef aminos...Is that right ? If so where do you get them ???

I would agree here I have a pure ion whey shake (synthepure is this) in 16 oz grpe juice which translates into basically a very highly concentrated BCAA/dextrose shake...the LAST Thing you need after a heavy work out is to digest a meal...

Cutler drank a shake right after training + a meal, an hour later
he ate another meal.
