MY WATER DILEMA

During the day and during a work out I drink enough water. The problem comes in right after the workout. I am so full of water that I have barely enough room for my protein drink wich I mix while I am in the locker room. And drink it right down. SO, what I want to do is take in as little water as posible after a workout so to fit everything in.

Now my plans, After a workout (evening always) I wanted to try Waxymaze, wich of course must be mixed with water. Then about 20-30 mins later take in a protein drink. BUT, instead of a full mix 2 scoops and about 12 ounces of water. Use one of those new Liquid Protein tubes. There are a few companies that make these tubes now. Dymatize, Isatori, IDS(New Whey)Then 20 mins later have my dinner. Dinner is important to me cause it's when my family sits down to together. But I won't be able to if I have tons of water in me preventing me from eating.

Does anyone see anything wrong with me using one of these instant tubes for a short substitute in place of a big protein drink? It's suppose to be the same thing now. In order to consume less water and be able to get my dinner in?

Cut back on the water. You don't need to gorge yourself with water around your workout time. If you stay hydrated all day, you wont need to slam gallons of water at workout time. Just take sips.

As far as PWO shake. Sometimes I sip my waxy maize during the final few sets of my workout. If I don't use waxy maize, I will add a little dextrose to my gaterade and finish that. Then I slam a quick protein and am ready for a food meal an hour later.

Hell, Just mix the carbs and protein in the same shake.

The problem is I am not a huge water drinker. Never have been. I drink enough and not a lot. So the amount of water during the day and workout is enough to fill my stomach. And it usually does. I'll try the sipping on the WM towards the end of a workout. Now as far as putting both carbs and protein in the same jug. What I have been reading so far is by seperating the two you get better results. Yes?

Boom, do you piss a lot? personal question I know but I always thought (and find from experience) that the more water taken onboard creates a bigger need to piss it out which means never feeling bloated from the water.
Recently I was taking in 6 litres everyday and still having protein shakes and never felt my stomach full from the water.
Could it be an underlying issue with something else and maybe not the water thats making you feel full?

As for mixing protein and carbs together, I always figure if theyre both going into your body theres no problem with them going at the same time.

You could do a glucose and protein IV drip instead of waxy maize. :p

front load your water bro. I was drinking nearly 3 gallons a day for 4-5 weeks pre-contest, most of which was done prior to 5pm. I rarely felt bloated. Now off season, you don't need that much water, but depending on size I would want at minimum 1.5 gallons. Again, try to finish it all up prior to training. You will be plenty hydrated (provided you are not working outside or sweating all day).

Do you carry a big water jug with you to the gym? If you just want to drink less water during your workout trying only carrying a smaller bottle or just using the water fountain.

I wouldnt use those protein tubes...I researched them once and found out they are junk...I would just use LBAs instead, about the same volume.

No, I am pretty healthy. Just not a huge water person. But now that I need it for working out I can't fit it al inside of me! LOL And I do wizzle a lot. But only when taking in that much water.

explain this one bro. Sounds intresting.

No, I work indoors. If I drink to much water before the gym, I feel very slugish when training. Does that make sense?

Since I am not a huge water person a 20 ounce bottle will last me through a hour of workout. Was gonna give the LBA's a shot if all else failed.

Thanks for all the help fellas!
