I have been BB for over 12 years. My wife is just starting to train. She was down for 2 years, almost bed ridden in need of a 2 level spinal fusion. She had the surgery, and is now fine, just losts of atrpohy in her muscle, and she put on weight- from 125 to 155. She had gestational diabetes years ago, and now is insulin dependent. Training wise, i am fine in helping her, but I am unsure how to steer her diet wise around workouts. Her Endo has worked with her everyday diet. She is looking to lose about 25 lbs and tone, not be a meat head like her hubs. I am wondering about pre/post meals. I have info regarding checking her sugar pre/post, and also taking snacks in case of crash during workouts. If there are any diabetic women on here any advice would be appreciated. Also if there are any supps preferred by diabetics- like pre or intra workouts. Thanks in advance.
