I seem to be receiving pop-up alerts from my anti- virus that a virus must be spreading called" virus HEUR: trojan script, and I have ran my anti-virus and anti- spyware and this is not being detected because I had a computer tech at a shop tell me this may be embedded in the memory that a anti- virus won't detect because anti- virus detect only known threats , not unknown and scan only the hard drive and software apps . It was explained to me I need to turn off the computer, unplug everything , even the motum and pull the side off and pull the memory chips out , only are these close to the hard drive?

sounds like a huge crock of shit, can you take a picture of it (or a screen shot) and post it here so i can see it? ill tell you exactly how to remove it.

Win32/Heur, also mentioned as Virus Win32 Heur is a dangerous self-mutating polymorphic trojan , typically installed on windows system without victims knowledge. The Win32/Heur virus infects PC's via dubious filesharing applications, corrupt media files, spam emails and porn related web sites. Once infected, Win32/Heur virus will modify Windows win32 system files, and install additional trojans, worms and viruses onto the infected computer. The Win32/Heur trojan is usually detected with the "Virus found Win32/Heur" alert and may activate fake Dr. Watson security warnings and redirect Internet Explorer and FireFox browsers to sites like ripetv.com or crackle.com. Trojan Win32/Heur malware is severe security and privacy risk that can alter/delete crucial system files, disable antivirus and firewall software and hijack both local and network computers.

Ok, thanks for explaining what may be the problem. I totally misunderstood what the other member told me and sorry for the remarks . As far as I know , on a kaspersky message board a member told another member if you see a blue circle to the left of the infection and green at the top with " no active threats , then the malware was blocked. Still the start-up process when I turn the computer on is slow and often runs slow or freezes especially when the anti-virus updates, which is often. Maybe I should switch to Avast or something not heavy on resources like Kaspersky.

what os are you running.... and thx Druss for clearing that up... lmao....

Thanks for being understanding . I run a microsoft windows XP home edition version 2002 service pack 3 . My computer is listed as intel R , pentium R , 4CPU 2.80GHz, 2.79 GHz , 504 MB PHYSICAL RAM .

Once you turn off your system, your RAM is cleared. No need to remove your RAM.
