I need some advice for my contest on Saturday.
I did one show this weekend and I'm going to do another now upcoming Saturday. I followed my trainers advice last weekend (He loves this method), it's quite untraditional and was like this:
5g salt Monday-Friday and, and even more on contest day.
Carb load only Friday with 450g carb and continue eating quite freely on contest day. Cut water at 12pm Friday.
I came in pretty dry but I could have been dryer, also I had to put on a layer of dreamtan #2 30min before going onstage, and it made me look a little smooth. I had a freakin water rebound effekt Saturday night and Sunday and gained like 10 pounds. Started dropping weight today and the pump is not so drastic today.
I'm trying a more usual approach for the weekend, carb deplete sunday-tuesday, and start carb loading on wednesday. Keep salt high with posstatium through wednesday, then cut it completly on Thursday.
My question is if I cut water at 6 pm on Friday and add salt again Friday before bed and keep salting through contest day on Saturday(no water), will
the salt make me hold water?
I read that a good tips is when you've cut salt since Thursday and water at 6 pm Friday you can eat a pizza (fat and salt rich) Friday before bed to get a good pump and vascularity on Saturday. Whats your thoughts?
