i need some help i;am taking my wife to ny for her birthday any one know a nice restaurant in mannhatan,good food and romantic something a wife would like

go to The Palms... even maybe thing about the 857 club, its a sister to the Palms, and the original resturant,,, very classy, rated 5 star, get their lobster if you like it, they are fresh Nova Scotia... and the Filets... SUPERB.... seriously, would be the best,, all the waiters are dressed in black tie... the service is AWESOME>.. good stuff man, check it out.. www.thepalm.com

BB Kings, the food is good and they have a "live jazz band", wife will like that setting. Its right on 42nd st across from the Loews cinema theater incase you want to set up a movie after dinner. #1-212-997-4511

Les Halles. They have a lot of french dishes and its purely a meat and potatoes place. You don't have to dress up or you can if you want.

This place has been featured on food network quite a few times. Chef Anthony Bourdain worked there for years. You will love it.

If you like sushi, great Japanese food, and people-watching, go to NOBU. The downtown location is still the best. I go there at least once every other week and I have never experienced a less than stellar time.

Slip the maitre-d a $20 and you'll get a nice table out-of-the-way if you want to keep it nice and romantic. Slip him a $50 and ask to be put front-and-center and you'll most likely rub elbows with some top notch celebs!

But, on a Fri or Sat night you'll NEED a reservation to even look at the front door. And those tips I mentioned about for table selection will need to be tripled (at least) on a weekend.
