Tried this the other day and it worked pretty well.

Apple Sugar Free Low Calorie Drink Mix, I used the Walmart Great Value Brand.
1/2 to 1 cup (Whatever amount you use) Quick or Regular Oats
1 or 2 packs Stevia (or whatever sweetner you use)
A touch of Cinnamon

instead of water use the Apple drink to cover your Oats and microwave, tastes just like Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal.

You can get creative with this and try different flavored drinks as well.

I use Steel-Cut Oats.

Steel-cut oats - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I buy by in bulk and just love
this for breakfast, hell . . .
anytime actually.

Cook them up the night before.
Just did so last night.

1 part oats, 4 parts H2o. Bring
water to a boil, add oats. I also
throw in a handful of raisons.
Stir, cover, turn off heat. Let sit
until morning.

Put cooked oats in a container,
eat all week; reheat in micro.

I add a splash of non-fat milk
to loosen things up a bit. Also
add 1/2 banana, raw shaved
almonds, and a pinch of raw
chopped coconut. And if you
are a fanatic, add some protein
power or LBA's (a free plug).

Add honey or agave nectar to
sweeten if you must but I don't.

This is world class, trust me.

this sounds good and convenient..I like how you make enough for several days...I will have to try this.

Sounds yummy! I will try that recipe for my wife. I use my wife as a guinea pig for food experiment hehe

This sounds very good and oatmeal has been hitting the spot on these ice cold mornings.

Might have to give that recipe a try sounds good, and talking about the steel cut oats i love em and never get tired of them, they are a main staple for me.

VERY hard to beat a hot bowl of oatmeal in the mornings with a cup of coffeee. I like to mix a little bit of my coffee in there also.

Dont mean to hijack this but no need to start a new thread:
Whats the difference in the Quick oats (1 minute) and the 5 minutes oats?

Im not totally sure but i think the quick oats have a little higher gi than 5 minute oats,i used to put the 5 minute oats in the micro for about 2 minutes but i like them better stove top so always do them stove top, thats my 1st of the day after that i like steel cut oats.

4 minutes or 240 seconds

LOl we have a smart one in here today!

I have never tried the 1 minutes oats, thats why I am asking. SAMS has them on sale for very cheap in bulk but I didnt want to get them if the texture was completely different and not the same or anything.

But yes your are right! 4 minutes or 240 seconds

haha yeah that was good and correct,i just like stove top better micro more mushy to me.

Sorry for bumping a 2 month old thread, but read your link to this post on the Raw Oats thread.

Basically your just cooking the steel cut oats, and then putting it in the fridge, and its good for the rest of the week?

So simple, yet I didn't think of it. Thanks for the tip! Will make my life much easier

my oatmeal

1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup dried crasins or what have you (used to be 1/2 cup but i realized that was what was giving me horrible ass trupet disorder)
cinamin

tastes so good!

Why do computers have to be restarted?

More specifically which one would be able to take the strain of recording and multimedia stuff like editing? Im buying a Blitzbox which has a built in video card in it which id recommend anyone who is interested in getting into recording there own gameplay. Here are the specs **broken link removed** anyway any help would be nice. here is that site for the blitzbox **broken link removed**
