O/T Anyone else a Redbull addict

I drink around 2 to 3 large redbulls a day. (I know this is a shitload of sugar, but i dont care). Anyway, these are extremely popular with all my coworkers over in iraq (they are usually the only energy drink available in the various PXs there). Well I got in the habit of drinking them all day and continued this when i got back stateside. I know that engery drinks are a multi-billion/yr industry in the US, but I just satisfy my curiosity about how many of you guys are also redbull junkies.

The only time to drink a RedBull is when one drinks a 40oz. Mickeys down to the top of the label. From there you add a regular sized redbull and continue:D

3. 1/2 can of soda
I dont get the hype.....

It is definatally an aquired taste. And as far as the energy goes, it really doesnt have that much caffiene in it. But it does have about similar to a cup of coffee and when I am rollin out of the rack in the morning for a mission brief and its already 90 degrees and climbing outside temp wise, i just cant justify drinking hot coffee. On top of that I dont want to take too powerfull of a stimulant because I dont want to be shaky, since shakyness is counterproductive to maintaining a steady aim with your weapon. Redbull assists the wake-up process and isnt overkill. So that was my original thought process behind drinking it. Didnt like the taste at first but it grew on me. But now Im back home in the states, and I crave it. The first order of business once I wake up is slamming a redbull. And it is an expensive habit. I have a 10 dollar a day redbull habit, lol.
 
Not me...

I hate the taste of RedBull. Give me a double shot espresso any day.

Force yourself to take at least 2 weeks off. It takes about that time to change certain eating/flavor habits. See if that doesn't help man.
 
Arnt those things loaded with sugar?
 
I like the prefer the sugar free Red Bull, but I don't reall notice any increased energy level. I like the taste of the low-carb Monster Energy better than red Bull, but again, no real increse in energy. I do agree with The Brick, you can never go wrong with a double shot. I drank one of those after about 4 months without caffiene and it damn near killed me, I got the shakes and started sweating, thought I was going to passout from it.
 
I was a red devil junky (don't much care for red bull) a few years back, gave myself a cracking caffiene addiction, with a damned awesome withdrawl on the morning of missing my usual can (i.e. breaking anything i got my hands around) made me consider taking a teensy weensy break for a couple of weeks. Even then i had to taper down my 'usage'. Funny days.:D
 
used to drink sugar free sobe adrenalines. then starting having stomach problems and other crap. a good bro on here asked what had changed in my diet. then phil told my ya dont drink that shit it will mess you up lol. got hooked on em last summer crazy work schedule needed the extra boost. after a few weeks didnt need it any more.

I was a coffee junkie from working long hours. When I weaned myself off coffee - BAM! I gained almost 10 lbs in 3 weeks...

I swear it never fails...no matter how good something may be someone always finds something on the internet that has something bad to say about it.
 
I'm not saying its bad. Hell, 2-4 cups of coffee / day decreases your risk of developing pancreatic cancer. That's a pretty fah-king good thing 'cause pancreatic cancer is usually a 1-way quick ticket...
You just need to figure out what is most important, what's tolerable and what (or when) to avoid...

I drink a case a week. I recently switched to a generic brand named red thunder that can be found at aldi stores for half the price. I get a slight energy increase but not much. I love it with vodka.
 
i think you should not try to quit cold turkey this is how i would approach it. like bodybuilding...it has to be progressive:

first only drink half a can of red bull in the morning, for a whole week

then switch to a full can of sugar free red bull for a week

after that go for half a can of sugar free RB for a week,

finally, after that last week it should be easy to drop the RB...if not just continually keep lowering the amount of RB you drink weekly
 
why would you drink redbull when there is ephedrine and caffeine that doesnt have a bunch of sugar in it???...

To all you naysayers, try mixing it with mandarin vodka and then tell me you don't like it.:D Back when I was young, that used to be my drink of choice when I wasn't doing Sake bombers or shots of Jaigermeister.
