O/T Just had sex for the 1st time in a year.......

Anyway, been in a relationship for a good 4months now and she finally put the patch on. What sucks is, that she's misrable on it. She gets bloated, feels aweful, stomach hurts,etc... She's tried the pill and the patch but it really effects her. Now, I don't wanna sound selfish, but HOLY SHIT its a night and day difference without a condom. We both sat down and figured the only route we may be able to use would be a diaphram. Anyone have expierence with this? Is this a good method for girls who can't take the pill/patch?? Any downsides to it?? All advice is appreciated. Thanks

Just curious. What's the diff. with using a condom and not using one? I've been married for 6 years so we don't use any. But I'm curious if it feels better without or about the same?

I think diaphragms have like a 20% failure rate.

IUD use would be best to get past the bloat, weight and mood problems with hormonal contraceptives.

My current cycle is doing well for birth control...Well I have been "on" for a few years. I just pull out...which I know isnt effective within itself but 2 years later and she isnt knocked up.

no period, sex all the time, lasts for 3 months, and she doesnt have to remember to take a pill everyday or anything like that, and its like 99.8% effective

I was gonna say good job!

I first had sex at age 22. I've only been with 4 people...all long relationships 2years or more....but have gone up to 3 years without. I learned a lot about myself in that time. I do have will power if I pray a lot! lol.....Once I am involved though.....well, lets just say I more than make up for lost time!

Contraception: I am with GotJuice on this one. Pullout. I went in twice to get a vasectomy and both times the docs didn't want to do it because I've had no children yet. Tried condoms...did NOT enjoy the experience much.

During that time I had the opportunity to read the literature on the success of various methods. It seems that withdrawal when properly applied is as effective as condoms which can tear etc..... Of course I am not a horny 16 year old who wants to leave it in until the last possible moment!

I of course am aware of the numbers of possible swimmers in the pre-ejaculate, but all I can say is....never used any protection and I have no kids. It's probably good because there are enough monkey-looking little fellas out there already!::ction-sm

Depot shot

I have to agree with blackpossum and passionateBB on this one. My girl uses the shot and loves it. 1mg 4x a year a little discomfort in the area of the shot for a couple of days. But no period for 3 months (ie.. mood swings etc). No worring about taking a pill, no skin irritation from patches.... But I also went 3yrs on the pull out method and no kids.... But given the choice of the 2 I highly recommend the shot,,, no pulling out,,, less PMS!!!!!!

i like the pill + the pullout + AAS. the only way i can lock it down further is to not have sex at all. plus the pill makes my girl's tits grow a cup size or more.

i feel nothing with a condom on. i generally have long term relationships where we both get tested, so STDs aren't an issue. if i'm not in a relationship i just won't have sex, or at least i will try really hard not to.

DepoProvera is great. The shot has a low incidence of side effects as compared to oral contraception. Also, my wife becomes insane INSANE on all oral contraception - even the ultra low does variants - but she tolerates DepoProvera without a problem. We have tried at least 10 different pills in the past few years. None were well tolerated.

By the way, the "patch" was the worst one we tried. She became mental about two weeks into it and then she was bloated and that made her feel worse. We lasted 2 months with the patch and most of it was hell!

Talk to your doctor about DepoProvera.

What's this thing everyone's talking about, something condom? What is that?

The pill was not too great for the wifey. She had a very low drive while on it and she was on a round of antibiotics about 5 years ago and wham-o we got us a baby girl

So after 2 kiddies I got snipped and she went off the pill. Now she has the same libido as me on 800mg of test a week!

It is definately a night and day experience with a condom, and with out one. Luckily for me my girlfriend will not have sex without one!!! We have had sex maybe two or three times in two years without one.

What are you crazy bro? Com'on dont touch the wheels until you at least have children. Yeah sometimes it can be reversed, but sometimes it can't.
