this topic hasnt been discussed much this election; to me the illegal issue is big, i have no patience for people who get a free ride in this country, dont speak the language, and to top it off people in this country want to cater to them and basically push learning spanish on us? between junior high and highschool i took spanish 5 times, failed it 3 times on purpose and the only 2 times i passed i cheated on every test and assignment. i straight refuse to ever speak that language. i opted to take french but the class was full.

Wow man your monthly premium is 800? That's rough bro. I cover myself and my two kids for 230. $15 pcp visits, $35 for urgent care and specialists. What kind of field are you in or are you self employed? I would think even a medium sized business could negotiate better rates.

I work for a company that employs about 20k people an insures almost 70k counting family's and retired people, so they get good coverage for us. I make a couple bucks less an hour than I would at other places in the area bit the benefits are worth it.

My company employs about 10k people I work on the oil/nat gas field..
I've been paying high premiums for as long as I can remember lol
Lets see the urgent care is $20bucks.. All women's annual visits and all kids well visits
are 0 copay. ER visits are up the Ass.lol.. Dental you get two cleaning visits per year.
We just had out second child and our part to pay was around 5k,
It's like your been punished if you have insurance.. People without insurance have kids at zero cost to them. And they get free diapers, formula etc etc.. But the working man with Heath care coverage.. Lol gets fucked everytime it's like.. If you work and pay taxes, have helth care they stick it to you..

I refuse to use American workers, i cannot survive as margins have gotten that skinny. Last American crew i had, they were late every day, got less than 1/2 of the production done of Hispanic crew, they ended up stealing $15,000 of equipment, i can go on and on. With Hispanic workers, i basically have -0- of these issues. I do go thru the legal process of hiring, but that doesn't mean their credentials would stand up to scrutiny....

The problem is we have too many lazy, able bodied Americans, who know how to work the system. Hell, i can't say i blame them, most of them that's all they know, that's what their parents, grandparents, etc did. Political parties benefit from keeping folks down, keeping them ignorant, they're voting blocks that are almost a guarantee if they just keep up the handouts. It's sickening.

What needs to happen is
a. all illegals here have 6 months to declare themselves, pay a fine for being here illegally, and start paying into the system (they do that already w/ SS). They are given a temporary work permit, signed by their employers, contingent on they go through the new work permit program
b. revamp the current work permit program to something sensible and pragmatic. I have gone through the system, and it's a freaking bureaucratic nightmare. If you're a unskilled worker from central america, you can forget coming here legally, ain't gonna happen. Don't believe me, do as i did and talk to numerous Immigration Atty's...
c. Once A & B are in place, hammer down on violators, at this point there's no excuse...

No, you're wrong on the pay, most of that work is 'piece work', meaning paid on production. most make over $10 per hour, many $12-15, some even more. But, they bust their butt, are honest, etc... I had a American tell me that the rate the workers were making ($15-18/hr) it wasn't enough, "The Gubmint pays me too much NOT to work".

Reduce the demand of foreign workers by requiring able bodied Americans to be gainfully employed, and that has such a big impact on our economy. No political party has the balls to speak the truth.

To each his own my friend, but i work in the Ag industry, we don't have the luxury of setting price, and i'm just trying to survive. I'll tell you why that's important. I was talking to some guys from a Tomatoe farm. They told me that their pay wasn't shit.. I mean to me it wasn't shit but to them it was way more money that they ever dream of making just for picking tomatoes all day long..
And it's sad when unnemployment pays more than your average job..

They're getting screwed as many farms are not exempt froma minimum wage, but it can be complex. Either that or their production is not good. As a employer, i LOVE for my workers to make $20 a hr - that means they achieved a high level of production, that crop is out and being converted to $, win win.

yeah its not like im a racist i have plenty of friends and acquaintances of all different races but its annoying when people come into my country and places of work expecting me to know their language and customs. when they want something they either stand at the desk like its some sort of protest or barter with me (indians) to the point of sucking all of my oxygen from my building and replacing it with a curry/BO aroma. i cant speak much for the lazy americans, all i know is any american who is interchangeable with an illegal immigrant is exactly what you mentioned. feeding off the system. pot head booze bag etc... i work my ass off at every job i have and in school (except spanish) and at the rate the countrys going ill be the only one with any common sense and ability to think outside the box.
