OK, FINAL DECISION

really long story, ill make it short... DEFINITELY 05 accord EXL.....choices..

from honda dealer (so honda cert. bla bla)... my buddy will bring it in for me, but its $3000 more plus tax, has 54000k..but its 4cyl....it is the best price At ANY HONDA DEALER

one independant lot, JUST got 05, 6cy, EXL with 64000k... for $$3000 less honda dealer plus tx.. he said IT CAME FROM HONDA FINANCE

now, both cars are carfaxed...yet to see the cheap one...
i like the 6cyl rims better, and of course abit more pep...but not sure about iffy dealers???

not sure if $3000 is worth my piece of mind or not.... also, my buddy at honda said not to worry about financing..he has final say, so im approved (credit could be iffy, when mom was passing...i let things slide)

IF i went the cheaper route, i would need to put 2 or $3000 on credit card till spring when i sold mustang....either way, when i sell it i will be paying of line of credit im taking money from too...fack... reallly wish i could go 3 months without car..

my point.. i called a 3rd guy, in guelph so i knew he would speak englsh..HAD ONE FOR CHEAPER TOO... he said his too his from honda finance...

my impression was ONLY honda dealers had access to that...if no one bought, it goes public....HE SAID THEY ARE FULL OF SHIT AND TRYING TO JUSTIFY $5000 OVER SMALLER LOTS.said so many lease returns are coming back, the dealers cant keep up....so thats why its open

my honda buddy showed me the finance site...and 05 with 89000km, body dings, a $2500 colision fix, was at $13500..so of course he urged me to stay away for any $14000 cars...

confused as fuck..any suggestions im buying with in the week i hope...

Find a private owner who is selling and you will get a better deal & will have
more room to negotiate.
Dealers always mark up the car to make $$$.
Find a private party who is got an 05 an lowball them and they will probably
take the deal cause you will be offering more then they can get from a dealer.

nope.. found one privately... asking $18000... wanted 16000...plus tax.. equals more money than dealer

I would offer less and show them where the dealer is selling
for less - the worst they can do is say no.

you may even try to lowball the dealer but most of the time
they will agree on a price then by the time you get to finance the
deal is totally different and adds up to way more than you agreed to pay.

Go to..

a local credit union. you will get better a.p.r. than you could hope to get at a dealer. Get pre approved through one of them and you could go to the dealer and deal with them in cash. gives you a big advantage if you're pre approved before you go to the lot.

yeah, just sucks the time frame i have to work with... think i will just write a big fat cheque to myself via my credit card, then pay it back a couple days later when i get time to actually hit the bank/credit union...

i work, my days off, wife works...just hell to get me a day to go look at this thing...and i feel if i dont act fast, ill lose it...
