Looking through a couple of Aeliops threads got me thinking about some some of the more "classic" physiques and posing routines. Man, not only did these guys have some awesome physiques, the could really display it well...

Samir Bannout:

Frank Zane:

Lee Haney:

Then there are some of the names of today:

Kai Green:

Melvin Anthony:

It seems as if the one thing these guys had/have in common other than their awesome physiques is the ability to display them, as if they were art...

Kai has to approach his posing in a very unique fashion due to his EXTREMELY unique shape. He is constantly in a distorted/twisted angle in order to make his physique flow better and not look so short and squat and wide. I love it though and how he is able to really bring a different feel to his posing routines.

I agree as well that those in the past had a far more graceful and appealing way to show their physiques. I love watching the old videos. Thanks for posting!

How many people do you see who still does the "arnold" pose, or the vacuum pose? Both are favorites of mine. The old school always impresses me!

i HATE the dancing around on stage that seems to be the trend today. you are supposed to be displaying your physique, not showing off your dance moves.

I agree totally. Give me Ed Corney and some classical music anyday.
