OLD hrt Test. Expired.

My dad is prescribed cypionate for hrt 200mg/ml 10ml vials from a company called University Compounding Pharmacy. Anyway, he has a bottle that expireed in March and 2more that expired in sept. He just picked them up a few months ago. Same with his b-12 and b-complex. They expire Novemeber and he just got them last month. Are they all still good to use? Isnt test good a year after exp date even if used.

Ive heard that the test should be good for a year or 2 after the date but its starts to lose its effectiveness.

Still good for many years after expire if stored right.

He always keep it in his fridge(dr. recommened) What about b-complex and b-12? How long past exp date are they good for (also in fridge)

All should be fine, as long as kept in the right conditions.........

If they expired during the treatment period

the pharmacy should replace them. ( don't throw them away though as they are good )

In the future, he should have the pharmacy justify why he is not getting meds that have at least one year before they expire.

Where did he kept it? If it was proper stored should be ok.

Its been in the fridge from day 1. He is gonna talk to his dr and the pharmacy to find out why he is getting stuff that expires a few months later. Maybe they know its still good for years and trying to get rid of it?
