A friend of mine was messaging an undercover cop who claimed to be 14-15, he went to meet her, was arrested. It was for sex, was a sting. I don't know where he met her, must be social media. He's in jail now til his court date on Friday. Everyone is shocked by this, embarrassed

On a scale of 1-10, how fucked is he?
Is it worth getting a really good lawyer? Just need to know what to do.

I'm not gonna lie folks, I think what he did is absolutely wrong, but it's not as horrible as rape and since sex didn't happen, doesn't deserve to be a sex offender forever, definitely deserves some time to get a wakeup call

Sex didn’t happen only because the police were there instead cos otherwise he would’ve. The fact that the person said they were 14-15 and he pursued it is the issue. I don’t know regarding sex offender for life but to me he shows an interest in young girls makes him a danger in my eyes

First off, if he was barely 18, I could get behind a little time in jail , maybe a month, no felony charge or sex offender that will ruin his life.

It IS rape, what he intended to do, the worst kind. That’s WHY they set up these sting operations. He’s a predator and if you think what he wanted to do is okay, you’re not right in the head either.

OP u need to watch some "to catch a predator" episodes with chris hansen on youtube. it was a big dateline NBC show back in the day that set up these stings and interviews the perpetrators when they showed up at the houses. and yes as multiple ppl on here already said, hes fucked and gonna get victimized hard if not killed when he gets to the big house, being a chomo is a big deal.

That' shouldn't be someone you call a friend . This is most likely not his first time doing this , it's just the time he gets caught. I hope he's white . The Woods in the pound will bring more justice than any court ever will . He'll most likely be rented out for sex until they get sick of looking at him and fuck him all the way off .

I've never been to prison but I feel like I've heard inmates do not like pedos and people who committ crimes against women.
