Honestly, I'd just look for a small locally owned jeweler near you. Haing a friend in the jewelery business is an important thing if you're going to be married forever. You've got birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc. every year. It's good to just go in and develop a relationship. remember Small and local. they may cost a bit more, but they will always work with you and their service and quality will never be matched.
My grandfather formed a lifelong relationship with the Helzbergs here in KC. they grew their little shop into a national chain by maintaining that personal touch. Barney Helzberg sold his business to Warren buffet several years back. It was never the same afterwards.
But one thing my grandfather told me was "It's good to have a friend in the diamond business." I have been buying jewelry and diamonds from Tom Shane here in KC since I got engaged years ago. I told Tom that story and to this day he uses my grandfathers words on every radio ad he runs. "It's good to have a friend in the diamond business."
Good luck, God Bless, and congrats.
BTW to the guy asking about assets and liquid cash???? Did you miss the part where he said he doesn't have a lot of money.... Payments....
Having a strong commitment to eachother will get you married, having a strong commitment with God will keep you married.
