Hey bros,

i had asked for ideas to dress up another house i was buying but at the last moment that deal fell thru unfortunately. i think it was suppose to fall thru cause i got this big ole house that is move in ready but it needs just a bit of updating mainly in the kitchen.

First i would like my living area to have a clean but relaxing look.im thinking of adding some molding to the walls and poosibly 2 colors to them as well just dont know where to start.the windows need some kind of framing of some kind i think

second my kitchen, prolly the most work.im defeinatley getting granite counter tops.im prolly not going to change out the cabients sense there in good shape. i think they just need some detail like some molding. i also am thinking of making a bar ot of the wall where the dining room and kitchen are.
or shold i just knock it down.

next the other living area wit the fire place has the would paneling and will definatley b removed.

the master bed room i have no idea wat to do any help would b great.

here is the front of the home im not gonna worry bout that right now

Im sorry, but that seems to be a very nice home for someone who spells "wood" as "would".

As a builder, I would first suggest you contact a licensed architect and engineer before you consider removing any walls as these could be bearing walls that support the house. Im not saying you cannot remove a bearing wall, but the steel or lvl beams that may be required may not be a fiscally responsible choice. As for interior trim on walls and windows, I would consult with a trim carpenter as well as a millwork rep from your local professional lumberyard. I said "PROFESSIONAL LUMBERYARD" not the home depot. A pro lumber dealer is where your builder would be purchasing lumber and trim materials. Your sales rep from this place if worth his salt should be able to point you in the right direction. The trim carpenter too will no doubt also have some creative ideas of his own. These folks often times have a better "working sense" of design principals than many highly paid interior designers.

Good luck.

P.S. No offense if you simply were out of it when typing up your first post. It happens, just seemed fishy. Nice home btw.
