Hello PM members!!
I am unfamiliar with the various ranks, duties, personality styles, etc. of the US Army. I am attempting to describe an individual (graduate school assignment) with a rank of E-9 or Command Master Sergeant. Any notable descriptors, features, characteristics, duties, etc?

This is all I know: A CSM’s counsel is expected to be calm, settled, and accurate- with untiring diligence and enthusiasm. Duties include supplying recommendations to the commander and staff, and carrying out policies and standards on the performance, training, appearance, and conduct of enlisted personnel. A CSM assists officers at the brigade level (i.e., 3,000 to 5,000 soldiers).

I have found this board to be incredibly knowledgable and I am not familiar with any Army boards. I will start looking!! Presumably, several members (including yourself?) have extensive military experience. And people post all kinds of interesting questions and topics here. My knowledge of the Army is limited to working with veterans and a visit to MEPS (interesting experience). The duck walk, visual inspection of body orifices, etc. Sadly, I met with a highly motivated future Marine who unexpectedly learned he was color-blind and was later dismissed.
