OT/ Would you give your organs?

Curious to know if you guys had already made a choice or at least thought about what could possibly happen the day you pass away...

Would you see a problem in letting paramedics "take" what they need to (kidney, liver, heart, etc...) on that very day, or on the contrary do you feel this way you'd be useful to people in desperate expectation?

If you're against the idea, what's your point? Is it the fear of suffering even if you're officially "clinically dead"? After all it's true... no one knows if you really feel nothing once your heart stops beating... that's just an assumption

Does your "body's integrity" equally matter to you in death than it does in your bodybuiding days?

yup, I'm a donor, I personally would feel honored if my organs went to someone that needed them and helped them live a longer life. now with that being said, I don't wanna give em up anytime soon as I wanna live to be a very old man, you know, like reach the age of OTH. lol j/k

I am an organ donor. I see anything that I can do to save another life as a great thing since obviously I won't be needing them anymore once I die or have no chance of living a normal life. Who knows it could be me, you, or even your children that gets put on that list for an organ transplant. Life is precious and you never know who might need that organ soo I will remain a donor until the day I die and hopefully more people will sign up as organ donors soo we can actually make a difference. It's scary how long the list is of people needing organs and the more donors there are the more lives that can be saved.

i would without a doubt give my organs to someone in need, ive already made arrangements.

I am a donor. I think its great that I would be able to save anothers life. Why wouldn't you want to. Especially since you will not be needing what it is your giving any longer.

I'm a donor, my organs are no use to me when I'm dead. Just think of the joy you bring to somebody or somebodys family who is in the last days of their lives and then the pager goes off and they have a new window of time with loved ones. Thats a beautiful thing in my opinion. I hope to live a long and lovely life, just as everybody does. Just watch out if your in China, I hear the blackmarket is lucrative for body snatchers.

That statement reminded me of the old Monty Python movie where they show up to take the guy's liver...and he's like "I'm still using it"!! LOL

Ok, seems like a lot of us agree on being donors once dead, but what about giving something while you're still alive... ie a kidney to a close one.

Do you feel you could go on living normally?

funny you mentioned that, when i was at my last physical, the Dr asked me if I would be interested in donating my peepee for a woman to use as a clit. I'm not sure why he asked me that though, i'm hung like a horse!

if they could use one of my kidneys, i would give it up to a relative without a second thought... okay, let me rephrase that, a relative that I love, without a second thought lol

I am an offical organ donor as well. IF I'm clinically dead, take it all as far as I'm concerned. I rest easy in the decision that hopefully my pieces-parts will help someone enjoy a better quality of life or a bit more life before they pass.
Now, giving up an organ while still alive...I would do it for a loved one...
