hey guys i got a quick question i had a pack sent under a fake name and it was not delivered to my box at the apartment because no one by that name lives at my place. now what are my options?

YOU SHOULD OF USED YOUR REAL NAME NOW ITS WAITING AT THE POST OFFICE AND YOU CANT PICK IT UP CAUSE THEY WILL WANT ID.........REORDER AND US YOUR REAL NAME

correct, unless u know someone who makes a good fake ID u can pretty much count it up as a loss bro, use ur real name or let the PO box place no the name of the person who is also recieving mail there, most places wont let u have any other name on it but some places will

|---[\\\\]>---------- was there a notice letft saying you had a package waiting to be picked up? if you used your real address, but a fake name, you could bring your real id and a utility bill or s'thing that shows that you live there and tell the PO your room mate is out of town and you are picking it up for him, you'll have to sign for it and teake posession of it though, but that is risky, you never want to sign for anything in the first place, this shows that YOU, not the person on the label, took posession of the pack.

yea i guess im fucked it was the prize for the gear lotto ... i just talked to the carrier and they stated that it was already being shipped back to shipper so ill have to speak with alex and see what my options are if any

I did the same thing once, but with enough gear to make me look like a dealer. Also, you might want to switch addy's, because the mail inspectors open up lost packages, and no telling if they will start scanning ALL of your packages from now on.

I woudl not even touch it...

take the loss and call it live and learn...yeah it is tough to see $400.00 or more go down the shitter, but it is better than raising red flags.

YOu could probably go down and pick up and say that your roomie is waiting for something...yada yada...but why risk it???

ALL!!! mail is delivered by adress NOT name!! What if you have a relative staying there? Anyway this is what the post master said to me when I kept getting mail with someone else name on it. I would not touch it. Just let it go.

If you got the notice of attempted delivery and have know worries about controlled delivery then just have them redeliver...Just be there the next day...

This is true. They should not have sent it back, unless you used the name of someone who used to live there. (The carrier may have recognized the name and knew he wasn't there anymore.) But there is really nothing you can do now that it is already on its way back.

also mail inspectors do not open lost mail. it gets sent to a wharehouse where if not claimed after a certain amount of time it is destroyed.
