I'm curious why everyone hates it so much. Is it beciase you have to keep uping the doses to get the same effect? Heath related issues with it?

I don't hate it but the sentiments seem to be 1) quick tolerance and dose build up and 2) benzo like withdrawal if you start using it daily, longterm. I personally like having it as a tool in the toolbox for sleep or relaxation. But I don't use it daily.

It causes extremely quick physical addiction with severe withdrawal effects. IMO the addiction sets in much faster than benzos.

I used it maybe 15 years ago when it first came out on the supplement market. It was wonderful, the effect was real strong although others say they don't notice much from it. I didn't escalate the dose, it kept working but then I noticed severe anxiety and insomnia, where I felt like I didn't sleep for 2 weeks, when I dropped it. Reason I stopped it was I noticed I started to feel out of it, I just didn't feel right mentally. I had stomach problems too afterwards. Haven't touched it since.

I'm sure it's fine for occasional use. Just respect it.

I've used it on and off for a few years. Only for 2 or 3 days a week. Then it doesn't seem to be a problem. And I never used more than 500 mg at a time. Respect.

I was searching for topics on here and found your answer, I have bad insomnia on work out nights, ordered some of this and took 500 mg wednesday and ended up staring at the ceiling for 8 hours counting sheep... no sleep at all-tried it again last night and woke up so groggy and in a fog ...that was it for me ----in the trash it went.

If only using ot occasionally, I think its great for sleep
I find it more sedating than xanax. I also dint take more than 500mg.

I guess everyone is different at various times I have been on xanax and valium for anxiety and never felt anything at all when abruptly stopping, but I read about the severity of the benzo withdrawls all the time so just lucky I guess
