Some of the older members will probably remember a bodybuilder from the mid to late eighties by the name of Phil Williams. I was a fan of his back then not only because of his physique but for the fact that he was a lower volume trainer, which is something Ive always been a fan of. He actually beat a number of guys who went on to become pro including Lee Haney.
Phil seemed to disappear after being around only a short time and this recent interview with Phil explains why:

He was from Kansas City. I trained the same time he did at Moffetts Gym in Shawnee Kansas. His wife at the time, Tatiana (spelling) was a trainer there too. She put her clients through hell when the other trainers were basically flirting or talking to their clients.

The first time I saw a Yoke Bar was when Phil use to lug his into the gym to do quads. Very nice guy. I don't think he's in KC anymore.

I competed in the Nationals in Miami as a LW, the same year he
won the overall.

So yeah, I'm old :p!

I watched this when you first posted the thread. Fantastic video and thanks for posting. I was only planning to listen to about 10 mins and go the gym but ended up listening to it all.

His mom just turned 90 something and lives in KC. He posted today on IG that he grew up there and was bullied most of his young life. He calls Missouri, Misery and doesn't seem to ever want to go back.
