I have had plantar faciitis before, when I would stand up after sitting, or sleeping with my foot relaxed, it felt like I stepped on a nail and unless I was holding onto something, I'd almost fall from the pain. I went to my ortho, who diagnosed it, gave me a cortisone injection and told me to stretch, maybe roll something hard against the tendon between the heel and the toe to keep it flexed. All that only worked a little.
I did some reading and bought a 90 degree boot at the drugstore that kept my foot flexed at a 90 degree angle while I slept. After about 2 or 3 weeks all pain was gone, for about 3 years.
Now I have a similar pain, except in my heel, and the boot hasnt worked. Anyone ever had achilles heel? I wonder if thats what I might have. Anything that helped it (besides opiate painkillers )
