Possible or impossible to gain few lbs of muscle on keto diet and low dose test

Question for those that have tried or are using a keto diet to gain some lean muscle while on 200-300 mg of test weekly...not talking about gaining 20-30 lbs of weight but more like 5-8 lbs... Using around 200 mg of test weekly and going to stay in that range for the next 2-3 months and thinking of trying a keto diet and having one 12-24 hour weekly carb up..weight upon waking is 238-240 and can still see abs..not a 8 or 6 pack but a good 4 pack and pretty somewhat lean and tight ..not looking to blow up but keep my weight while maybe gaining a few lbs of muscle. Using 3.3 ius of gh and 4.5 ml of synthetine daily ...was going to try. 250 g pro daily and 250 g fat and 20-30 g carbs or less daily while getting about a 500-600 carb day one day a week with whatever else I feel like eating for that day...lifting eod and doing cardio 25 min low impact 4-5 days week... Any suggestions or input appreciated

highly unlikely that you are going to build muscle in a calorie deficit unless you are new to training/steroids, etc. with a very mild deficit

but yes, it is possible to build muscle in a ketogenic diet... assuming you are in a surplus.

I mean you coooouuuld...assuming you hit your carbups hard and maybe throw some insulin around that time.

All of this revolves around how many cals you are taking in though. When doing keto with these carbups I almost look at it more like a "recomp" rather than gaining LBM.

I more or less only eat keto or very low carbs when I'm on gear. The results are awesome. You won't notice much of any scale weight increase but you will get ripped up and jacked. It's more of a recomp.

For some reason the lack of carbs renders the gear useless with regards to growing. But you will look great.

Stick with everything you plan, 6 days keto, 1 day carb up and focu on getting a real 6 six pack, lose 15-20 lbs and everybody will think you look bigger, but the scale will show less. Don`t worry about the scale going up or down. That`s my vote

Just came across this info reading Lyle McDonald's book "The Ketogenic Diet";

High GH levels along with high insulin levels (as would be seen with a protein and carbohydrate containing meal) will raise IGF-1 levels as well as increasing anabolic reactions in the body. To the contrary, high GH levels with low levels of insulin, as seen in fasting or carbohydrate restriction, will not cause an increase in IGF-1 levels. This is one of the reasons that ketogenic diets are not ideal for situations requiring tissue synthesis, such as muscle growth or recovery from certain injuries: the lack of insulin may compromise IGF-1 levels as well as affecting protein synthesis.
