Postcards from Alin to Canada

I have been reading this board for quite some time and decided it was time to finally join. I have a question for any Canadian guys on here that have received postcards from Alin. I want to use Western Union but they have told me they would convert Canadian to American money but when it gets to Alins location it will be converted to the currency of his country. The problem is he wants American funds, how do I get around this. I don't want to use E-gold or any other online service because of the high fees. Any help would be appreciated

the fees are high either way WU or E-Gold. I went E-gold cause it seemed more elusive.

You have to tell the W.U. agent that you want to send money to: "Country USD". Example: "Russia USD", "Poland USD"...
That means that people living in those countries will receive dollars, not their local currency.
A lot of places in Europe accept $: it's the main currency when it comes to international exchanges.

Ditto, just wanted to note as well that i have recieved all my postcards in the past few months and alin's customer support is very responsive
