Try to find the radio show with Milos from this past may (sorry I don't have a link). He talks about how he has his guys use it.
Personally, I think preworkout is the way to go. But you need to asses how you react to insulin before embarking on such a protocol. Individual carb requirements and their timing will vary widely.
Personally, I've gotten away with about 75g carbs total with as much as 12unit of humalog, but this certainly isnt the case for everyone.
