I just read these stats and were please to see the accending #'s but how long is this going to last??
For the 5th consecutive year, the IFBB Pro Division will again be raising the prize money for the Mr. Olympia. The Olympia is the only contest in which the prize money has been increased every year for the past 5 years and this year, it will be raised to the level of $400,000 cash + a Pinnacle Performance Muscle Car.
In fact, the IFBB Pro Division has raised the Mr. Olympia prize money by $100,000 since 1998 as follows:
1998: $300,000
1999: $311,000
2000: $325,000
2001: $351,000
2002: $381,000
2003: $400,000
This year, the IFBB Pro Division will also extend the prize money to 12 places, with the following breakdown:
1st Place: $110,000 + Pinnacle Performance Muscle Car
2nd Place: $75,000
3rd Place: $50,000
4th Place: $40,000
5th Place: $30,000
6th Place: $25,000
7th Place: $20,000
8th Place: $15,000
9th Place: $12,000
10th Place: $10,000
11th Place: $8,000
12th Place: $5,000
