whats the best protein for bulking up?

i've currently been doing syntha 6, 2 coops a shake. and 4 shakes a day.

and whats the best protein for cutting up?


what website do you use for buying protien? cant seem to find a good one thats not overpricing their products.
 
Damn you really are a noob. Well at least Im not the only one! I think protein is protein. Some take longer to digest which might help you spare some muscle in cutting, but other than that it's all the same. Just take lots of it. Personally I order my protein from mysupplementstore.com, they have some real cheap protein!
 
The best protein I would say is food, and you don't need a website when you can go to a grocery store.;)

4 shakes a day of syntha worked perfectly fine for me.
but ive been hearing they have been putting fillers in their bottles so i wanna get something else thats good
 
Dangkolo said it best, food is the best source for protein. But as far as shakes go, its all about the type of protein. Immediately after your workout you want a whey protein, along with your quick carbs. Syntha-6 is a good protein, but its a blend, it has casein, which is a slow digesting protein, it has whey, and i think it has egg protein too. You would want to use Casein protein before bed, it'll digest slowly, feeding your muscles throughout the night. Even though its only protein, there's so much to learn. I try to stick with food for my main source of protein, I'll use the shakes after a workout or to make up for calories and protein i couldn't get throughout my day. Check out wal-mart, i think even they have their own brand now.
 
How does no such thing sound? Bulking up is more about carbs than protein. You should probably be doing a lot of reading so you have a better understanding of protein and the different macros and stay away from the magazines. They're all ads and you are reading 5 page "articles" that is just a company's spin to get you to think that their product is the best thing on the planet. As far as protein goes, don't buy cheap. The raw material (protein) that companies buy is expensive and the price of it has gone up a lot in the last year and half or so. If you pay $20 at Walmart for 5lbs of protein, you are buying a shit protein and your body isn't going to use as much as you would think. Your'e better off buying a higher quality protein and using less. And like other people already said, food is the best source. Powders are called supplements for a reason....Try trueprotein or synthepure from synthetek

A gallon of milk a day. All protein powder is dried up milk anyway! You're just paying for them to dry it out and package and ship it. Just drink milk and eat and bust your ass everyday and you can be the next big thing.
 
Milk and grass fed beef, whole eggs... Eat steak and lots of it.. EAT AND EAT AND EAT!!!
 
i try not to drink more then 2 shakes a day and one is always pwo so i can get some protein in my body right away. i read a long time ago that you should get most of your protein from real food and that has always stuck with me.
 
Only time I use protein powder is after a workout (fast acting) and before bed (slow acting). All 5 other meals are eggs, chicken, or beef. I used to use a lot of powders and I get much better results when I mainly consume real food.
 
You should not rely on shakes as your primary source for protein. That being said, I have found that Target has great prices on whey, as inexpensive as most of the best websites you will find.

its all about the canned cat food when you are cutting
high in omega 3s and high quality protein

There are different types of protein with different rates of digestiability. Whey is a fast digesting protein and the most popular. Whole foods should be your main source of protein with shakes used to reach your allotted protein intake for the day. It's much easier to take in 300 or so grams when shakes are involved.
