I'd be very interested to see this research. Please show the research showing that these are harmful.

was wondering if consuming a bit of diet soda on a low carb would add on more water or fat do to the sodium in the soda, or does the sodium not make that make much of a difference,
I would just ditch the soda.

as for aspartame, many of my buddies in Desert Storm drank plenty of diet soda ( which sat for weeks and months in the desert heat effectively freeing the toxic chemicals) that was donated to them and many of them suffer permanent neurological damage as a result from the breakdown of the aspartame into methanol, aspartic acid and phenylalanine
i haven't heard of this... if tasting sucralose does raise insulin it would just drive blood sugar lower because there isn't any sugar. bulked sweeteners are different because they contain caloriesThere are very well done HUMAN studies that show that having something 'sweet tasting' in your mouth and then spitting it out actually raises insulin.
This is neurological of course.
But this can obviously be applied to diet soda because of the sweeteners in it.
