How much did you weigh in this picture?
The picture was posted in or around 2003 and I remember joining up here to read your posts as I had idolized you in the mid 90's and made some great progress using a hybrid system of yours I put together from the magazines.

Respect.

MG-What was the hybrid system you put together?
I can post it in a separate thread if you guys like.
Basically training each body part 2-3 times a week and 3 sets per bodypart -after warm ups 3 separate exercises for the most bodyparts...

So, per bodypart: 3 total exercises, @ one set per exercise? Just a little confused as to the way you worded it..

MG correct me if I'm wrong but I thing it was something like this....
Training each body part 2-3 times a week and 3 sets per bodypart -

So after you warm up that body part you are about to train that day you do 3 separate exercises for that specific body part.

Example for chest:
Decline bench for one working set
Dips w/ elbows out and chin tucked for one working set
DB Flys for one working set

I hope this makes more sense.... sorry if it doesn't....

The training split would be something like this I would imagine
3 days on 1 day off

Looking like this
Day 1 Chest, Back, seated or standing calvs
Day 2 Quads, hamstrings, abs
Day 3 Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps, seated or standing calvs
Day 4 Off

If you hire Phil he will take care of you and put you on a diet and training routine that actually works. I know his workout is somewhat like this, but I know I'm missing a lot of the KEY parts to what I had to pay for to obtain knowledge of ;) So I won't be giving any of those away! Hire Phil

Yes basically it's 3 different exercises 1 set each to failure train the bodypart 2-3 times a week.
My hybrid is based on that above-BUT there is so much more to the routine than that-so I do agree that if people get personal instruction from Phil it will be the best way.
My split and exercise choices were a bit different than phil's but the idea I got from him was train a muscle to failure with out OT'ing and hit it again.
The most anabolic condition/time you can create in your body is postworkout-that's when the body is surging hormones and a sponges for nutrients for 3 hours plus...so you can see why the routine would put some size on you quickly.
